Cape Town Urban Adventures ' Tours with a difference
Cape Tonians are generally renowned for being laid back. Having said that, there are some amazing urban adventures that you'll find us locals making part of your everyday lifestyles, often just for fun.Cape Town by Cycle and KayakBike and Saddle offer a Paddle and Pedal tour, which takes you arround the spectacular Atlantic Seaboard, with an expert guide to accompany you along the way. Starting in Mouille Point alongside the Sea Point promenade you get to view Cape Town by tandem kayak, breaking for a gourmet picnic lunch on a secluded cove. Later in the afternoon you hop on a bike and make your way through the historical streets of the mother city, ending in the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.Full moon hikeAnother great way to see our beautiful city is by a full moon hike up Lion's head. It will take you about an hour to walk up the 669m up to the top. Not to fear, there are plenty of other walkers out carrying torches, lighting the way. The city lights are spectacular and if an adventurous walk is up your street, this one's not to be missed! The next hike will be with 2nd of August.Tunnel ToursDiscover the secret tunnels below the City of Cape Town. Parts of the underground canals and rivers date back to 1652. They used to supply the Company Gardens and the passing ships with fresh water. This underground tour is one of the better kept secrets and will let yousee the transformation of old to new!
