We understand that the stay was impacted due to the payment via booking.com and Nox, We had tried to charge your card and it had declined. Our reservation team had ensured to send you a link from our platform - pay fast and the charge was the same value as your original booking yet we noted that booking.com did not specify the cleaning cost of R740.00, which was included in your cost via the platform. We also appreciate your feedback on the Superhog Nox cover, we do require this from all guests and do ensure that this is marketed on all platforms to avoid any confusion when booking with Nox. In regards to your feedback on the bathrooms, The team have confirmed the shower door is functional yet we will look into the seals to ensure the connection is not allowing water to drop onto the floor. Beautiful apartment. Very clean and comfortable. Secure parking. One bedroom has a closed toilet, but otherwise bathrooms are open to the bedrooms. You can lock the bedroom door though. But worth knowing this if you are sharing the rooms. Only a short walk to V&A waterfront, but the gate closes at 8pm. Very cheap and easy to get an Uber back. Should be called dockside elegance rather than waterfront elegance, as it isn’t actually at the waterfront. But we would stay again. Its beautiful. And the team were very responsive and helpful.

The apartment was nice and clean with appealing Afro-centric art. It was about 15-20 minutes walking distance to shops and restaurants in the V&A Waterfront area along the canal walk (which closes at 8pm). Note that the bathrooms are only accessed through the bedrooms and do not have their own doors, and only one bathroom has a shower, which was a bit complicated for teen siblings sharing a room. Our main issue was the halfway through our stay our key card to access the building and apartment stopped working. We arrived back at 9:20pm and were unable to get into the apartment. The host responded quickly via message but it took 40 minutes to get inside. Since it was over the weekend we were not able to get a new key card so for the last two days we had to have the hotel security guard let us in and walk us up every time we returned to the apartment, which was a major hassle, especially since with each new shift it was a new person and we’d have to explain again.
